Mr. Helling is a nationally known management consultant in ownership transitions, business valuations and high level strategic planning. Over the past 29 years, Tom has provided management and financial solutions resulting in over 570 successful sales and purchases of businesses and 275 business plans. He was a co-founder of Image Guided Neurologics which sold to Medtronic in 2006. Tom was the featured speaker for Minnesota Business Magazine in October 2003 and has spoken to various owner groups and at national conferences as an expert in business valuation and growing businesses. Tom has a long proven track record of achieving 80-90% “very good to excellent” ratings from his clients regarding the return on their investment from using his services.

Tom was a CPA with Ernst & Young and worked as a healthcare consultant before founding CEO Solutions in 1982. After 25 years in business, he and his partner sold their business in 2006. He served five years on the Quality Review Committee of Certified Business Appraisers (CBA) for the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA), a 1,800 member organization. The CBA is the most respected credential in the ownership transition business. Tom is one of 33 Master CBAs in the United States and serves on the Professional Responsibilities Board of the IBA. He is one of the founders and a former president of the NCCIBA.

Tom has served as a board member on various organizations. He enjoys time with his family, adventure travel and the outdoors.
